At the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers, we also support families

At the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers, we work every day to provide development opportunities for children and adolescents in vulnerable situations. But our mission goes beyond that. We know that a child’s wellbeing is deeply connected to their family’s wellbeing — that’s why we also support and accompany parents, mothers, and caregivers in their everyday lives.

Our team of social workers offers guidance and advice on practical and bureaucratic matters: how to access financial aid, register for residency, write a CV, or search for a job — all of which can make a big difference in family stability. In addition, our psychologists provide emotional support in cases of family difficulties, social problems, or situations of violence. This professional and human support is key to rebuilding confidence and creating safer, healthier environments.

And of course, sport plays a leading role. At our centers, we promote healthy lifestyles not only among children but also among their families. We believe that when parents take care of their own health, they set a positive example for their sons and daughters, helping to turn the home into a balanced and nurturing space.

A great example of this is the functional training program for mothers at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Madrid, held in the Caja Mágica sports facilities.

Every morning, a group of mothers — affectionately called “our champions” — trains for free alongside our professional team. During these one-hour sessions, they work on strength, endurance, and mobility, improving not only their physical fitness but also their emotional wellbeing.

Regular physical activity brings multiple benefits: it reduces stress, improves mood, strengthens the immune system, boosts energy, and encourages social connection. Functional training, in particular, works the body as a whole, improving coordination, posture, and strength for daily activities.

These mothers are more than just a fitness group — they’ve built a community. They share experiences, support each other, and accompany one another through the challenges of raising their children. Whenever we organize sports activities outside the center, they’re among the first to sign up with their kids, creating positive, healthy family dynamics.

Because sport doesn’t just strengthen the body — it connects, inspires, and brings people together.

At the Rafa Nadal Foundation, we truly believe that promoting a healthy lifestyle should involve the whole family. Taking care of ourselves, staying active, and enjoying time together is the best way to build a healthier, happier future full of opportunities.
