Today, December 3, we celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a date to raise awareness, support, and recognize the rights and achievements of people with disabilities around the world. At the Rafa Nadal Foundation, this day is very special because it allows us to highlight one of our most emblematic projects: More Than Tennis, developed in collaboration with Special Olympics Spain for the past 15 years.
More Than Tennis was born with the aim of bringing sports closer to people with intellectual disabilities. Through adapted tennis training, sporting experiences, and interaction between athletes and coaches, this project promotes self-esteem, personal growth, and social integration, demonstrating that sport is a key tool for inclusion.
This year, we have an even greater reason to celebrate this important day, as on December 12, 13, and 14 we will host the 10th National More Than Tennis Meeting at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor.

More than 100 athletes with intellectual disabilities from schools across Spain will come together to share sport, friendship, and fun in an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and energy.
This event is the culmination of a whole year of training and effort, and a reminder that inclusion is not just a goal, but a reality that we build together every day.
At the Rafa Nadal Foundation, we believe that all athletes deserve a space where they can grow, learn, and enjoy tennis without barriers.

This International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we celebrate the achievements of our participants and reaffirm our commitment to inclusion through sport.
