Carnival at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers: A Celebration with Purpose

Carnival at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers: A Celebration with Purpose

Carnival is a special occasion to celebrate with joy and creativity, but at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers, we also turn it into an opportunity for learning and awareness. This year, the centers in Palma de Mallorca and Madrid celebrated the event with activities that combined fun, values, and family learning.

Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Palma de Mallorca: An Eco-Conscious Carnival

On Friday, February 28, the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Palma held its 5th Family Day with a very special theme: “The Conservation of Our Seas and Beaches.” Children, teenagers, and educators participated enthusiastically in a day of costumes and environmental commitment.

The Educational Team dressed as divers, while participants wore creative outfits representing fish, starfish, crabs, and even marine debris, emphasizing the importance of sustainability and ocean conservation. Additionally, they created banners with environmental messages, promoting awareness through play and creative expression.

After getting dressed up at the center, the group headed to Can Pere Antoni beach, where they had a snack and took part in a cleanup activity. Organized into groups, the children and teenagers collected litter and waste, experiencing firsthand the importance of keeping beaches clean.

For many, it was also a unique experience to enjoy the beach in winter—not with swimsuits and towels, but in regular clothes and costumes. The day ended with fun games on the sand, strengthening their bond with nature and their peers.

Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Madrid: “Carnadal” – A Family Celebration

At the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Madrid, the Carnival celebration once again became “Carnadal,” a day designed to strengthen family ties.

Parents actively participated, enjoying playful and educational activities with their children.

The main goal was to foster family bonding through play and creativity, promoting a shared fun space where each family member played a key role.

At the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Valencia, the Family Day focused on celebrating Carnival with children, teenagers, and their families.

The team prepared a choreography in which different roles were assigned to all participants, reflecting on how we face challenges in our daily lives.

The celebration was used as an opportunity to carry out this joint activity and strengthen family ties.

Celebrations with a Positive Impact

These initiatives show that Carnival is much more than costumes and parties—it can also be an opportunity to learn, connect with the environment, and strengthen bonds.

At the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers, we continue to promote activities that integrate values, education, and fun, ensuring that each celebration leaves a positive impact on our participants.

Thank you to everyone who made these wonderful gatherings possible!
