Growing Together Once Again: A Look at How We Ended the School Year

This is how we wrapped up the school year at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers in Madrid, Palma, and Valencia!

The end of the school year is always a very special moment at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers. It’s a time to look back and appreciate everything we’ve experienced, shared, and learned. This year, at our centers in Palma, Valencia, and Madrid, we wanted to celebrate it as it deserves: with a big party alongside those who give meaning to each of our actions — the children, teenagers, their families, and our educational teams.

These gatherings are not just festive closures, but also an opportunity to express gratitude, strengthen bonds, and recognize the daily effort made at each center.

They are spaces to look proudly at what has been achieved and recharge our energy for what’s to come.

Valencia: A race full of emotions

At the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Valencia, the event brought together 166 people, a number that reflects the strong commitment of families to the project. The atmosphere was warm and full of participation from the start.

The celebration began with a heartfelt speech of appreciation and the awarding of badges and recognitions to children and families who stood out for their progress, commitment to the center’s values, healthy habits, and active participation. We also honored those who have been with us for five years.

One of the most touching moments was when each child received a personalized letter with all the badges they had earned throughout the year — a keepsake full of meaning!

Then came a very special activity: the CFRN Race, a family-friendly skills race where young and old alike participated, showing teamwork, joy, and a great desire to have fun. At the end, each participant received a “runner’s pack” with fruit, yogurt drink, and rice cakes — always promoting healthy habits.

The day also featured a testimonial board, free playtime, and an exhibition of photos showing all the activities done during the year.

It was a day full of gratitude, emotion, and community spirit.

Madrid: A rainbow full of meaning

At the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Madrid, the end-of-year celebration was inspired by a beautiful metaphor: the rainbow, a symbol of hope, resilience, and light after difficulty. A perfect reflection of everything experienced over the course of the year.

The event gathered 95 people, from 42 families, who participated enthusiastically in all the planned activities.

One of the most emotional moments was the graduation of the teenagers who, upon turning 18, are now leaving the center. A farewell full of emotion, pride, and best wishes for the new chapter ahead.

A highlight was the group of mothers from the healthy living space, who organized a fun sports competition that showcased their effort, dedication, and great sense of humor.

Families were also invited to write messages on colorful papers that formed a large rainbow mural. They answered questions like: What does the CFRN Madrid mean to you? What are you thankful for? What would you like next year? The responses, full of love and gratitude, reflected the center’s profound impact on their lives.

To close the celebration, everyone enjoyed a final dance, a themed photo booth, and a community snack. It was a memorable afternoon, filled with laughter, emotion, and shared pride.

Palma: Between dance, play, and reflection

The End-of-Year Party at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Palma was also a great success, with the participation of over 300 people.

The event was designed with a clear purpose: to recognize the involvement, attendance, and commitment of children and families throughout the year — always through closeness and play.

After the traditional family photo, one of the most anticipated moments arrived: the dance performance by the center’s group, which this year went by the name chosen by the children themselves — Safe Dance Group. A diverse group where the presence of a single boy stood out, highlighting the inclusive and participative spirit of the center.

As in every year, the educational team also performed a fun surprise dance — a tradition that demonstrates the close bond between educators and families and never fails to bring smiles.

Next came the Sports Bingo, with prizes designed to be shared with family or friends over the summer: beach kits, board games, books, caps, and much more.

Reflection also found its place with a collective mural where attendees answered the question: “What do I take away from this school year?” — a chance to put into words what they’ve experienced and share it with others.

The day ended with free play (football, basketball, table football…), chats with families, and a healthy snack with fruit, cheese sandwiches, and popsicles to cool off.

A closing… that’s only the beginning

These end-of-year celebrations weren’t just a farewell to another school year — they were a powerful reminder of the importance of the journey we’ve taken together. They reflect the hard work, shared effort between children, families, and educators, and the transformative power of education and sport.

Now, with hearts full of gratitude and memories, the teams at all three centers are already preparing the summer program with excitement — another opportunity to continue learning, growing, and enjoying together.

Thank you all for being part of this great family — the Rafa Nadal Foundation!
