Rafa Nadal Foundation and Clínica Baviera hold their third free eye check-up event at Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers

RAFA NADAL FOUNDATION AND CLÍNICA BAVIERA HOLD THEIR THIRD FREE EYE CHECK-UP EVENT AT RAFA NADAL FOUNDATION CENTERS

The Rafa Nadal Foundation and Clínica Baviera have joined forces to provide free eye check-ups for children in vulnerable situations at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers in Madrid, Valencia, and now, Palma de Mallorca.

Eye examinations were carried out in Madrid in October 2024, in Valencia in November, and now in Palma de Mallorca. On March 31 and April 1, two full days of eye screenings were conducted, both in the morning and afternoon, at the Foundation’s center in Palma.

200 children participated and had the opportunity to undergo a comprehensive eye examination conducted by Clínica Baviera’s optical staff.

The examination circuit was specifically designed for this initiative and included various tests to determine the children’s visual acuity and prescription, as well as checking their binocular vision and overall eye health.

Additionally, children who required optical correction were assisted by volunteers from the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation to take their measurements and choose their new prescription glasses, which were provided free of charge.

The foundation also donated sunglasses to all participants to promote eye protection from harmful sun rays.

Thanks to this valuable partnership, 402 children in vulnerable situations from the three Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers in Spain have been attended to, and over 100 prescription glasses have been distributed.
