“More Than Tennis” Research<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This research aims to delve into the impact of sports on the well-being of individuals with intellectual disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A case study of the “More Than Tennis” project has been conducted. Since 2010, this project has operated through over 25 schools nationwide, aimed at promoting tennis among individuals with intellectual disabilities, affiliated with Special Olympics Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the combined efforts and collaboration of the Rafa Nadal Foundation and the University of Navarra, with the support of Banco Santander, the intellectual and motor skills of 52 athletes have been evaluated, alongside interviews with 36 athletes, 25 family members, and 19 professionals and coaches. Collaboration has extended to 10 schools involved in the “More Than Tennis” project, spanning 8 autonomous communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
