At the Rafa Nadal Foundation, we continue to strengthen our commitment to children and adolescents<\/strong>, working every day to ensure safe spaces where they can grow and develop to their fullest potential.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our Child and Adolescent Protection Policy<\/a><\/strong>, located on the SAFE SPACES<\/a> page of the website, initially approved in October 2020 and most recently revised in July 2024, has been the foundation upon which we have built a solid framework, shared by the entire organization and constantly evolving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, we have implemented key tools to strengthen our protection system: a practical guide for all centers and projects, downloadable posters, the appointment of safeguarding officers both within the Foundation and the Rafa Nadal Tour by Santander, and the creation of a specific Committee that ensures the correct implementation of all these measures.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, we have developed materials aimed at organizations and professionals, such as the guide \u201cKeys to Building Safe Environments for Children in Sport\u201d<\/em> from the Rafa Nadal Tour, which aims to support those working in the field of sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, we have established accessible and confidential communication channels so that any risk situation can be safely and effectively reported, whether by email, phone, or QR code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have received various notifications from the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers (CFRN)<\/a>, which demonstrates the effectiveness of these spaces as privileged environments for prevention and early detection. And, of course, this reinforces our determination to continue identifying and taking action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each identified situation requires careful and professional intervention, adding a significant effort to the daily work carried out in the centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This process has been supported by ongoing awareness-raising and training. We have recently started conducting participatory workshops with children and adolescents, encouraging them to learn how to identify risk situations in their various environments\u2014school, home, centers, or any space in their lives\u2014and to understand what to do if they feel unsafe or in danger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These workshops also introduced the role of the Wellbeing Coordinator,<\/strong> a position held by 2 to 3 key professionals in each center, responsible for guiding, listening to, and protecting minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The annual meeting of the Protection Committee<\/strong>, held recently, served to review reported cases and reinforce the main lines of work for the future. Key members of the Foundation\u2019s protection team participated, including Deputy Director Jos\u00e9 Antonio Ru\u00edz, legal advisor Raquel G\u00f3mez, and project manager Eunate G\u00f3mez, all of whom agreed on the need to continue supporting this commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Protecting children is not just a legal responsibility\u2014it is, above all, an ethical one.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
