During November, we had the opportunity to host a series of workshops at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Palma<\/strong> focused on the responsible use of technology and the prevention of behavioral addictions. This initiative, developed in collaboration with CMSS Llevant Sud<\/strong>, provided a space for guidance and support to families with children aged 12 and above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aware of the impact that screen use has on the emotional, social, and academic well-being of adolescents, we opened the center\u2019s doors so that families from both the CFRN and Social Services could participate in three sessions led by professionals from Projecte Jove<\/strong>, an organization specialized in prevention and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A space to learn, share, and prevent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the sessions, families explored key topics to better understand and support their children in the healthy use of technology:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Rules, limits, and consequences<\/strong> in the digital environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Emotional well-being and conflict resolution<\/strong>, especially related to screen and social media use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Addiction prevention<\/strong>, both to substances and behaviors associated with mobile devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The workshops proved very enriching, and families appreciated having a safe space<\/strong> to resolve doubts, share experiences, and gain practical tools for everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A consistent educational approach: mobile-free spaces at CFRN<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Since the opening of our first center ten years ago, the Rafa Nadal Foundation has taken a firm decision: children do not use their mobile phones inside the center<\/strong>. Upon arrival, they hand them in and collect them when leaving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This measure is part of our educational model and serves several purposes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Encouraging children to focus on activities<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Promoting peer interaction and positive coexistence<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Demonstrating that it is possible to disconnect and enjoy<\/strong> for an hour and a half without screens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Preventing inappropriate use and ensuring a safe and equal space<\/strong> for all children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The workshops held this month reinforce this approach and allow us to continue supporting families<\/strong>, building a community more aware of the role technology plays in the well-being of children and adolescents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      We will continue promoting initiatives like this, working in collaboration with local organizations and services, and striving to create opportunities that protect, support, and empower<\/strong> everyone who is part of our centers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
