Pero\u2026\u00bfa qui\u00e9nes consideramos alumnos con bajo rendimiento? Pues aquellos que no alcanzan un nivel b\u00e1sico de conocimientos y habilidades en al menos una de las tres \u00e1reas evaluadas por PISA -matem\u00e1ticas, lectura y ciencias-, consider\u00e1ndose que pueden tener dificultades a la hora de desenvolverse en la sociedad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Algunos datos: En 2012, el 10% de los estudiantes espa\u00f1oles mostraron un bajo rendimiento en las tres materias (media OCDE: 12%), un 24% en matem\u00e1ticas, (media OCDE: 23%), un 18% en lectura (media OCDE: 18%), y un 16% en ciencias (media OCDE: 18%). Destaca tambi\u00e9n que un 40% de estudiantes socioecon\u00f3micamente desfavorecidos en Espa\u00f1a tuvo un bajo rendimiento en matem\u00e1ticas en 2012, mientras que solo un 8% de los estudiantes favorecidos tuvo un nivel inferior al b\u00e1sico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tal y como se detalla en el informe presentado este a\u00f1o por la OCDE, son m\u00faltiples y variados los factores de riesgo de un rendimiento bajo. El nivel socioecon\u00f3mico es uno de los aspectos determinantes, as\u00ed como el contexto demogr\u00e1fico, la actitud y el comportamiento, los recursos y la administraci\u00f3n de la escuela, y las pol\u00edticas y asignaci\u00f3n de recursos del sistema educativo, entre otros.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pero\u2026\u00bfqu\u00e9 pueden hacer las diferentes partes para lidiar con esta problem\u00e1tica? En primer lugar, los alumnos deben tomar conciencia de la importancia de ir a la escuela con regularidad y puntualidad, de esforzarse y de hacer los deberes. Por su parte, los familiares deben animar a sus hijos, apoyarles, mostrar inter\u00e9s por sus actividades diarias y participar en la vida escolar. Adem\u00e1s, es recomendable reservar un espacio tranquilo en casa para que los ni\u00f1os puedan estudiar y hacer los deberes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde los centros escolares, hay que ofrecer apoyo y ayuda especial a aquellos alumnos que presenten m\u00e1s dificultades de aprendizaje, sin olvidar crear altas expectativas para la totalidad de los alumnos, independientemente de su rendimiento. Por ultimo, est\u00e1n las responsabilidades de la administraci\u00f3n p\u00fablica, quien debe dise\u00f1ar una estrategia pol\u00edtica que combata los diferentes factores de riesgo, identificar a los alumnos y centros de bajo rendimiento, elaborar sistemas de diagnostico precoz, y garantizar el acceso a la educaci\u00f3n preescolar, entre otras medidas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tal y como afirma Andreas Schleicher, Director de Educaci\u00f3n y Competencias de la OCDE: \u201c<em>El bajo rendimiento en la escuela tiene consecuencias a largo plazo tanto para los individuos como los pa\u00edses. Los alumnos con un rendimiento bajo a los 15 a\u00f1os tienen m\u00e1s riesgo de abandonar completamente sus estudios; y cuando una gran proporci\u00f3n de la poblaci\u00f3n carece de habilidades b\u00e1sicas, el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico de un pa\u00eds a largo plazo se ve amenazado<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Malas notas, desmotivaci\u00f3n, falta de compromiso con la escuela\u2026 todos \u00e9stos son aspectos asociados a un bajo rendimiento escolar; una problem\u00e1tica demasiado presente en los centros educativos.
